Hours: Monday- Friday 8 am – 4.30 pm with flexibility

About the client:

Our client has been servicing the Bendigo construction industry since 2008, specialising in a high-end domestic and commercial building, as well as heritage restoration. Working across several projects, we are seeking a driven and motivated individual to assist the Directors and Project Managers in organising and ensuring contracts, correspondence and obligations are met within appropriate timeframes.

About the role:

As a valued member of this small office-based team, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Manage project timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of Tender Packages.
  • Prepare subcontractor packages, scopes and procurement schedules.
  • Administer RFI’s to clients, architects and consultants.
  • Assist with the development of cost reports and budgeting.
  • Administer construction contracts and ensure all contract conditions are met.
  • Review, negotiate and finalise subcontracts.
  • Be involved in processing variations and progress claims.
  • Assist in producing labour and material schedules for ordering.
  • Manage and track project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claims.
  • Assessing and certifying contractor progress payments.
  • Assist in achieving final sign off and certification.

Skills & experience:

  • High-level literacy and numeracy skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to liaise with a range of industry stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise work effectively.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, with experience in MS Project advantageous.
