Mercy Community places the people we support at the heart of everything we do. We currently have an exciting opportunity to contribute as a valued member of our NIISQ Team that delivers services within our Community Supports area.

We are seeking a new team member for a Caboolture based position, attending to the needs of a person we support with a spinal injury. Please read on below.

The Role…

Working with a team to support a person who is adjusting to life after a spinal injury and requires a minimum of 14 hours/week support over 3 days to assist with support needs including transporting and attending medical appointments with them, providing domestic support and social support.


Assist clients with domestic and social support, including light cleaning, odd jobs, and household tasks as requested by the client
Transport clients to social or medical appointments as needed
Actively monitor clients’ condition and report any changes in condition or behaviour to the Program Coordinator
Maintain daily recordings of your visits

About You…

Great sense of humour, patient, like to have a conversation.
Previous experience in support work and knowledge of the disability, allied health or welfare fields.
A passion for working with people with disabilities.
Ability to work regular weekday hours, no overnight shifts.
Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
Provisional Green or above Drivers License with own comprehensively insured vehicle.
NDIS Working Screening Clearance
Blue Card
