About us

Lives Lived Well is a leading support organisation for people who have problems with alcohol and drugs as well as other addictions such as gambling and associated mental health issues. We provide support services including residential rehabilitation and community counselling in more than 40 locations across Queensland and NSW.

Our Service Hub in Beenleigh offers counselling, case management and outreach to provide ongoing support for people on their journey to recovery. We aim to provide our clients with a safe and comfortable environment where they are supported by skilled clinicians to develop their own road to recovery.

About the Role

The AOD Counsellor Case Manager role reports the Team Leader. The successful applicant will deliver individual and group-based counselling, case management and support services, as well as proactively assist and support clients with entry and exit into suitable residential treatment. High quality engagement, via in-person and phone contact, guided by evidence-based practice is crucial to the role.

Primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Provide high quality engagement, assessment, counselling, case management and support services to clients, and their families.
Develop, facilitate and evaluate therapeutic group programs aimed at achieving client readiness for AOD residential treatment
Manage a case load of clients with varying levels of complexity, providing counselling support, service coordination, referral, and advocacy to assist in achieving their goals.
Actively support development of client capacity and community support groups for clients who wish to enter and are exiting residential treatment
About you

The successful candidate will share our passion and commitment to service delivery excellence. As a case manager, you will hold the highest level of integrity and professionalism in your practice. Additionally, you will possess the following:

Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling or mental health (or related discipline)
2 + Years Experience and knowledge in contemporary AOD counselling, case management and intake and assessment
Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups.
Experience in evidence based modalities including relapse prevention.
Sound interpersonal skills, including a high standard of written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritise clinical and administrative duties, including the effective and efficient planning and organisation of a complex caseload

The salary range for this role is $72,361 to $77,854 commensurate with experience. We are fortunate that our employees can also access $18,540 salary packaging which increases their take home pay.
