About us

Technology Solutions (TS) provides a range of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) services for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). The branch sets the strategic direction of ICT in alignment with the business direction. TS is responsible for ICT strategies, initiatives, architectures, policies, projects, applications, and infrastructure services in a multi-sourced environment.

About the role

Reporting to the Product Manager – Oracle Applications, the Developer / Support Analyst role is responsible for the delivery and support of development application components and work packages supporting core Corrections Victoria (CV) applications.

In this role you will:

  • assist in the design and delivery of CV software changes and applications supported by the Corrections and Justice Services Portfolio to meet the changing needs of business units.
  • ensure that the specification and design of new software changes meet the defined business needs, align with enterprise and solution architectures, and complies with standards.
  • contribute towards all stages in the software development lifecycle process, in collaboration with departmental stakeholders including Senior Developers, Business Analysts, Architects and Testers.

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • experience in using a service management system such as Jira or Service Now.
  • demonstrated experience in Oracle SQL/Forms/Reports v10g+/Apex v5+, PL-SQL and Java.
  • knowledge and experience in using source code controls and continuous integration (CI) tools.

A relevant ICT tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
