About this role
Would you like to work in a dynamic, supportive team environment with a core focus on developing and engaging strong stakeholder relationships? The Senior Business Partner role builds capacity across NSW Health by supporting high quality and timely responses and builds and maintains effective and collaborative working relationships with relevant staff across the Ministry of Health, in Ministers’ offices and across local health districts and other health organisations.

Where you'll be working
Executive and Ministerial Services (EMS) branch is part of the People, Culture and Governance Division. EMS is the liaison between the Ministers’ offices and the Health Portfolio and our work includes managing Ministerial correspondence; information, meeting and event/visit brief requests, Parliament, Parliamentary inquiries and Cabinet.

EMS is a fast paced environment with large workloads and short turnaround times. EMS is in the unique position of working across all areas of the Health Portfolio. This gives staff the opportunity to gain an understanding of current issues impacting the Portfolio. 

What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will work in one of the following teams: Briefs, Correspondence and Events, or Parliament and Cabinet. Senior Business Partners need to be able to work across all teams. 

You’ll be responsible for developing strong relationships with our stakeholders, and contributing to service improvements and training. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of various products to the Ministers’ office. This includes being responsible for reviewing, analysing, editing and coordinating responses to time sensitive, confidential and complex issues in a busy, high volume environment.

Our ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent plain English writing and editing skills.
• Demonstrated effective stakeholder support and engagement skills.
• Initiative, excellent judgement and high level organisational skills, including an ability to prioritise and manage a high volume workload with short timeframes.
• Experience in ministerial services and/or communications.
