This is an exciting opportunity to be part of TAFE NSW Agribusiness team.

The Technical Officer is to provide high level customer service to support the effective and efficient delivery of educational programs. The position contributes to the daily operational needs of the teaching section/s, including Horticulture and Landscape.

Reporting to the Staffing Pool Coordinator, this position: 

  • Develops and produces teaching aids from drawings or instructions to assist with practical assessment tasks, demonstrations and theory classes in support of educational delivery
  • Prepares equipment and materials required by students and staff for the conduct of classes including computers and associated equipment
  • Provides specific technical expertise in the employee’s area of competency relevant to the section needs
  • Demonstrates the use of relevant equipment/instruments and techniques in laboratories, classrooms and workshops to educational staff
  • Provides technical support and assisting teaching staff in the operation of computer and related equipment

If you have…

  • A Diploma, or equivalent, in Horticulture or Landscaping
  • A minimum of 6 years of industry experience
  • knowledge and experience of equipment and materials used within the area of Horticulture and Landscaping
  • the ability to support teaching staff and student during classes
