The Soil Conservation Service (SCS) is looking for an IMS and safety standards expert to take on a 12-month contract as their Business Support Coordinator - Quality, Safety, and Environment.

Using your in-depth knowledge of quality, safety, and environment systems, policies, and procedures, you’ll support the delivery of business operations to agreed standards including ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015, and act as IMS subject matter expert by:

  • Managing and training a small team responsible for delivering IMS administration and project support services
  • Maintaining and evaluating the IMS to identify opportunities for improvements
  • Identifying business processes that could be managed using the IMS and engaging with stakeholders to facilitate improved use of the system
  • Implementing IMS and WHS projects in a way that engages staff and improves business performance
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and review of administrative and information management systems, processes and policies, embedding good governance and audit protocols
  • Facilitating up to three audit rounds annually, which may require travel.

About You:
To be successful in this role you’ll need proven experience maintaining ISO accredited management systems, as well as experience as a leader who can guide, manage and monitor the performance of your team.

You’ll need exceptional communication skills to develop and maintain relationships across all levels of the business, and have a proactive team player attitude (this role is part of the Business Performance Leadership team).
