JOB DESCRIPTION

My client, an Australian owned organisation, provides education, employment and community services to their clients, enabling people to realise their potential. The role will see you handle escalated issues from the L1 Service Desk Engineer, then manage, resolve or escalate these issues if need be in a highly distributed environment.

In this role you will :

  • You will take active ownership of tickets assigned to you, being accountable for the outcome.
  • Incident, Service Request, Event, Problem and Change Management Lifecycle management including updating and closing of incident tickets, using JIRA.
  • Log issues with vendors and /or order hardware, image hardware and create process documents
  • Monitor and problem solve customer networks and key IT infrastructure
  • Be available as back up to other teams during busy periods

You will bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the deployment and support of Windows Servers on both physical and virtual infrastructure
  • Excellent knowledge of related Windows Server technologies (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP), along with Microsoft Server Operating Systems 2003,2008R2,2012R2, 2016
  • Strong accountability and willingness to work within a team environment and display ownership of assigned tasks, along with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with enterprise configuration management tools (e.g. Intune\SCCM) and monitoring tools (e.g. Cisco Meraki for monitoring all Networks)
  • Experience with cloud computing
  • Networking infrastructure like routers, NTU, Switches, Firewalls
  • Certifications such as ITIL, MCSA, MCP
  • Any scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) will be preferred
