The Opportunity:

Due to growth, a new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant for a boutique property company located in the CBD. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Accounts Payable duties
  • Vendor payment run (weekly)
  • Accounts receivable duties (unique to property and strata management)
  • On-billing of utility invoices to clients
  • Administering and issuing of client financial statements
  • Trust accounting duties
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Answering accounts related client queries
  • Providing accounts related support to property/strata managers 

Experience and attributes required:

  • 3 years' experience in a similar role, with an, accounts related qualification, working towards CPA qualification (advantageous)
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
  • Knowledgeable in GST and Balance Sheet matters
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of Australian accounting principles
  • Excellent time management skills along with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to process a high volume of transactions across different entities
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Experience in Real Estate or Property also highly advantageous
