An opportunity now exists to join our executive leadership team in the position of Director City Planning and Amenity. This role will require an understanding of the challenges facing the Bayside community and the local government sector and have a clear commitment to improving the overall liveability for our community, now and into the future. You will set the strategic direction for the following areas; statutory planning, building, economic development, urban strategy and amenity protection. Delivering to this strategic direction will facilitate a robust local economy, protect Bayside's highly valued amenity and development which contributes to increasing Bayside's liveability and environmental sustainability.

Your customer centric, can-do attitude and change leadership experience will help us raise the bar in the way we engage our community and allow our people to deliver a more innovative approach to service delivery.

As a values driven leader and natural communicator you will form strong relationships with all stakeholders within our highly engaged organisation and community, including Councillors, the CEO, the executive management team and external contract providers.

Within your team you will nurture and develop staff for superior performance, fostering innovation, accountability and teamwork in a newly adopted hybrid way of working. Exceptional strategic thinking, business improvement and influencing skills are essential attributes for this position.
