Mental Health Postgraduate Program

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified Graduate Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and/or Psychology Registrar to join the team at Latrobe Regional Hospital. This will be for a 24-month postgraduate program at 0.8EFT, with opportunities to rotate through various areas of the mental service at LRH. We have one intake starting in January for successful applicants.

Reporting to the Unit Manager and supported by the Discipline Seniors, Post-Graduate Coordinator and Mental Health Education Team, the successful applicant will participate in the graduate program to develop the skills, knowledge and attributes to enable the provision of high quality, safe, trauma informed and evidence based clinical mental health services and ensuring the achievement of quality patient outcomes.

The successful applicant will be required to complete the graduate portfolio in mental health and attend all study days allocated and meet the requirements of Latrobe Regional Hospital for the Mental Health Postgraduate program.

  • Key Selection Criteria Response (5.1.1 only)

  • 2 most recent clinical appraisals (this can include one second year appraisal if your placements have been delayed due to COVID-19 changes) Please ensure that you include a mental health placement, regardless of when it was completed.

  • Certified Academic Transcript (Unofficial is accepted)

To be successful in this position you will need to have:

  • AHPRA Registration (or the ability to be registered before your start date) or equivalent for the position being applied for.
