The Role

As part of the North Lakes reception team you will have a passion for customer service, providing support to all of Auto & General’s internal and external customers, as well as front of house support to staff and onsite contractors.

You will have superb organisational skills and attention to detail, and an excellent communication style with a ‘Can do” attitude. Your daily focus will be to provide onsite support to internal and external customers, including answering/directing calls, face to face interactions, managing meeting room bookings, maintaining office and kitchen supplies and overseeing facility issues for the North Lakes office of Auto & General.


  • Professional when greeting all visitors to the Company and maintaining a corporate image at all times;
  • Liaise with corporate clients, customers and members of the public;
  • Monitor and action incoming phone calls and emails – Transferring calls promptly and accurately and/or recording correct messages;
  • Organise and schedule meetings effectively including ordering, setup and removal of all catering for meetings/functions;
  • Perform tasks on the opening and closing checklists for each shift;
  • Ensure reception is kept clean, tidy and organised;
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management;
  • Work closely with Executive/Personal Assistants from all departments;
  • Monitor staff and guest use of visitor security passes daily;
  • Conduct hazard inspections and ensure these are recorded, managed and reported correctly;
  • Ensure adequate warden and first aid coverage for the site and coordinate training as required;
  • Coordinate emergency management, including evacuation protocols, diagrams, posters and visual inspections;
  • Maintain and order supplies for all meeting rooms, kitchen supplies and catering.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with ease;
  • Highly customer service focused, with the customer at the front of mind with everything you do;
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks;
  • A true problem-solver with the ability to take initiative and think ‘outside of the box’;
  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and prioritise escalated matters;
  • Confident in navigating computer systems including Microsoft Office and Google apps(Preferred);
  • Appropriate manual handling techniques;
