What You Will Be Doing

Peninsula Health provides hospital substitution and diversion services through the Health Independence Programs (HIP). A comprehensive range of services are provided to support people in the community in ambulatory care settings and in people’s homes through sub acute ambulatory care and community care services.

The Administrative Assistant will work alongside clinicians and the Community Care Program intake team to ensure an efficient single point of entry for all referrals to the HIP programs. This will include after hours and weekends work to ensure HIP programs meet service demand and provide a responsive service to the community. The Administrative Assistant works in collaboration with colleagues and communicates effectively with members of the public (including referrers, clinicians and community members) who contact our service.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
Have excellent IT skills
  • Present a professional image and ensure that confidentiality of information received
is maintained at all times
  • Work alongside Community Care staff to ensure the timely receipt and processing
of eligible HIP referrals
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective and efficient administrative
