About the role

UGLs Manufacturing & Maintenance business are seeking a HSE Advisor to join the team at our Spotswood heavy maintenance facility in Victoria on a permanent full time basis.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is to provide advice and support Project Management and operations in driving improvements in HSSE performance through alignment and delivery of UGL HSSE programs, and identification and management of HSSE risks within the business.

The position also provides advice to support and maintain a safe and healthy workplace and for adherence to company policies and other applicable laws, regulations and standards for the workplace. If adequate laws or policies don’t exist, ensuring practices adopted reflect a commitment to the highest standard in WH&S and environment.

About you

Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or greater) in a Workplace Safety and Health related discipline
Cert IV Training and Assessment
Incident Investigation Trained (ICAM preferable)
Desirable - Certificate IV in Environmental Monitoring and Technology or equivalent
Desirable - Internal WHS Auditor (Environmental Auditing advantageous)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Safety, Health and Environmental role in Construction/Infrastructure industry
In depth knowledge of the WH&S, Environment and Workers Compensation legislations
Demonstrated capability to develop and implement safety management systems
Thorough knowledge of AS 4801, ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000
Excellent consultative skills and responsible I/R techniques
Strong computer literacy skills
