JOB DESCRIPTION

Full Job Description
Council’s Leisure and Cultural Branch is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Programs Officer - Mildura South Regional Sporting Precinct - R2016.

This position will require the successful applicant to work 35 hours within a four-week work cycle.

Position Objectives

The officer will be responsible for:
Assisting the Precinct Manager to develop, promote and coordinate programs, predominantly of a sporting or recreation nature, for the community to activate facilities within the Precinct during off-peak periods.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Diploma or Certificate in an administration and sports and recreation field
Experience implementing recreation, sport and/or community programs
Ability to develop and promote programs within the community to attract participation
Excellent communication skills, including confidence in public speaking
Experience delivering high quality customer service
Experience working in a general administration environment with high level time management skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Sound computer literacy with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel
Working with Children Check
Level 2 First Aid Qualifications
Current Victorian driver’s licence

Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $35.2713 per hour plus statutory superannuation.
