About Ravenhall Correctional Centre

Ravenhall Correctional Centre is a medium security men’s prison which opened in November 2017 in Ravenhall, Victoria.

About the Opportunity

As the Human Resources Administration Support Officer, you will provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team and assist by providing coverage for positions throughout the Centre from time to time.

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
Perform clerical duties and provide administrative support as required to various members of the HR team including training, generalist human resources functions and occupational health and safety.
Collect and ensure accuracy of data.
Maintain appropriate records including electronic document management systems.
Collate and disseminate information.
Prepare Reports as requested.
Maintain filing and information retrieval systems.
Attend meetings and take and distribute minutes conducted.
Maintain office systems.
Answer and respond or redirect telephone enquiries as required.
Understand and advise staff in relation to Ravenhall Operating Manual and GEO policies and procedures.

Your Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Flexibility with the ability to adapt to changing requirements within a complex environment
High levels of integrity and professionalism
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of office procedures, including ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and provide administrative support to the Ravenhall team within a correctional environment
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of computer applications including Outlook
Ability to learn internal databases and other computer systems, and use these with a high degree of accuracy
