This role is an excellent opportunity for you to make a difference and start your career with HBSC as a Customer Manager at our Swanston Street Branch.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Providing leadership to front-line staff in the form of sales management, performance management, team-building, coaching and training.
  • Ensuring all direct reports receive appropriate training certification and guidance.
  • Driving cross sales and portfolio growth within your branch.
  • Monitoring and supervising all transactions and procedures, ensuring adherence to Business standards and policies.
  • Acting as the local compliance representative where required, managing communication in regards to compliance matters and implementing and monitoring compliance policies and procedures.
  • Managing operational risk within the branch, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control.
  • Assisting the Branch Manager in setting team targets and ensuring they are met.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • The Higher School Certificate or equivalent certification/education. Additionally tertiary qualifications desirable.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Financial Services or Retail Branch environment, with previous exposure to leading and managing within a sales driven environment.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Branch compliance and audit requirements.
  • The ability to lead, supervise, mentor and work effectively with a team.
  • Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates for this role will need to demonstrate they hold Australian or New Zealand PR/Citizenship or working rights given current international travel restrictions
