Full Job Description
The Knox School is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational school catering for students from Pre-Prep to Year 12. The Knox School consists of three sub-schools, all on one attractive campus in Wantirna South, Victoria.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and innovative, qualified Secondary English/Humanities Teacher join our energetic staff. This is a part-time fixed-term contract position commencing Monday 12 July 2021 until 08 December 2021, working across 5 days per week. The FTE may range between 0.6-0.8 depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including students, parents and colleagues.
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning and latest research in best teaching practice.
  • The role reports to the Head of English and Head of The Humanities.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold a current VIT registration.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for these subject areas and proven record of high-performance teaching.
  • Ability, experience and interest in teaching other subject areas will be well regarded.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices and sound knowledge of the current VCE English Study Design.
  • Participate in and contribute to the co-curricular and wellbeing programs within the school.
