As Senior Lead Commercial, you will play a key role in managing the portfolio of suppliers that currently support QantasLink’s Airport operations at 76 airports across Australia. The role will be responsible for supporting the Manager Airport Commercial Strategy in all aspects of strategic relationship management including contract negotiation, proposal development, supplier oversight and performance management. A high level of operational analytical support is also required to ensure suppliers are performing to target and opportunities for improvement are identified. This will be delivered through the application of effective stakeholder management across a broad range of stakeholders, strong commercial analysis, strategic thinking, and challenging the status quo.


In addition, you will also be required to work closely with operational and corporate support areas to manage performance and explore opportunities to reduce costs. These include close interactions across key stakeholders’ groups such as Network regarding schedule changes, Operations Control, Property, Freight and Customer Experience.


You'll have –

  • Demonstrated analytical capability and strategic thinking with the ability to identify commercial issues and opportunities from the business perspective
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage people through strong facilitation, communication and collaboration
  • Proven strength with respect to attention to detail, working with large volumes of data, strong organisation skills and the ability to deal with complexity
  • Effective time management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, quick to learn and able to work without direct supervision
  • Tertiary Qualifications (Commerce/Accounting/Business/Finance) with relevant experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Qlik Sense, Power BI or SQL experience highly desirable
