JOB DESCRIPTION

Studio LDN is a small independent customer experience consultancy. We specialise in creating effective digital experiences with insightful design, for clients big and small.

As well as a solid client base, we partner with a number of digital agencies who don’t have CX capabilities in house. We support their project deliverables and create beautiful experiences that grow brand values. We’re an expanding team based in Manly and due to recent growth need an additional experienced digital designer to work across a number of products and across all platforms with a range of diverse clients.

In this hands-on role you will be reporting to the design director and working alongside a senior user experience designer. You will need to be highly organised, proactive and comfortable working on your own initiative. This role will require involvement in workshops, speaking directly with clients and reporting to weekly sprints as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive UI design, manage components libraries and take ownership of ongoing design systems.
  • Design a range of products across all platforms, e.g. websites, apps.
  • Keep up to date with competitor products and industry trends.
  • Develop and follow product brand guidelines across all assets and materials.
  • Deliver innovative user experiences which are accessible and inclusive.
  • Work with technical teams to deliver designs ready for implementation.

Skills Required;

  • Proven expertise in UI design, ideally around 3-5 years experience.
  • A portfolio showcasing product design, understanding cross-platform experiences, designing products and websites across a range of industries.
  • Exposure to data driven products.
  • Experience of working with Figma, in particular with prototyping.
  • Experience using Sketch and the Adobe suite, in particular Photoshop and Illustrator is required from time to time.
  • An understanding of and experience in creating and managing components libraries and design systems for new and existing brands.
  • Experience and understanding of working with accessibility in design.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, comfortable in sprints and managing ad hoc tasks.
  • An interest in UX design would be beneficial but not essential.
  • High attention to detail is essential.
  • Solid communication and engagement skills are essential with the ability to influence best design practice as well as build and maintain relationships.

Studio LDN provides flexible working conditions but does require someone to work from the office for the majority of the time.
