About The Team

The Corporate Services Division supports the organisation with expert advice and support in Financial, IT, Strategic, Legal, Commercial, Property and Procurement matters. We partner to provide sustainable strategies, solutions and services, enabling our clients to deliver Transport's vision of making NSW a great place to live, work and play.

The Transport Shared Services Branch (TSS) is part of the Corporate Services division and provides operational and shared support services across the Transport cluster.

The opportunity

The Director of Business Intelligence, sits within the Customer and Service Excellence function of TSS and will oversee the newly created Business Intelligence unit. This is a key senior leadership role and will provide strategic leadership and direction in the digitalisation of shared services business intelligence applications and systems.

The role acts as the product owner for all TSS business systems and will drive systems improvement to ensure that technology enables smart, customer-centric and efficient service delivery for the entire cluster.

You will lead three key teams within the unit: Business Intelligence, Business Systems and Business Analytics. You will bring the new unit together and foster an environment of innovation, collaboration and change. You will work closely with your Service Improvement and Customer Experience peers to use systems and data to enable our current future business needs.

The home base for this role is Burwood with flexible work options available.

About You

We are looking for an individual with experience at a senior leadership level. You will be a courageous change leader and a true relationship focused business partner, with a proven track record in transformational change and customer centric delivery.

You will have experience partnering with IT to develop a digitisation strategy and system improvements that set shared services up for the future. You have lead digitisation of services including automation of processes that contribute to better customer outcomes and can build the foundations for data management that will enable business intelligence to be used to support business outcomes.

You are able to work in the now while always building for the future and have an innovation mindset.

Key relationships

You will manage broad relationships and partnerships in this role. Key to the success is the ability to work with Group IT, vendors, business system teams and service partners to ensure the successful implementation, transition and use of effective technology solutions.

Effective external relationships are essential to remain connected to current technology, systems and innovations in the market.
