This Role

The Consultant must be a strong team player and able to work in a challenging environment and be able to support change within the organisation. The ideal candidate will bring previous experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive increased effectiveness in value and quality in workplace services support. The purpose of this role is to enable the development of repeatable processes in the service catalogue, knowledge management and service support functionality such as chatbot, especially with working to develop, design and own technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The Consultant will provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using good practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions utilising the ServiceNow platform.

Deliverables

This role will work closely with the Project Lead and other stakeholders and deliver outcomes associated with the initiative:
Manage key streams of work associated with the automation and transformation of the service support functions
Work closely with key stakeholders responsible for delivering outcomes associated with the key streams of work
Good communications skills - proven experience in working across large projects involving touch points with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Design and own technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform
Develop catalogue items and workflows in ServiceNow
Develop, configure and administer code uplift, including but not limited to successful deployments in ServiceNow
Prior experience with process automation initiatives in complex environments across cloud-based platforms, with experience in development of APIs
Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform.
Provide software coding and customization including, but not limited to, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third party software integrations, and custom application development
Update and maintain a comprehensive unit and user testing protocol for ServiceNow solutions with the purpose of certifying all applications for use after the upgrade or release completes.
Obtain and analyse/interpret business requirements to purpose sustainable solutions
Answer “how to” technical and application configuration questions when required.
Continuous improvements to activities provided, that support more efficient delivery of workplace projects
Strong problem-solving skills where multiple parties need to be bought together to reach an agreed outcome.

Work closely with key stakeholders responsible for delivering outcomes associated with the key streams of work
Good communications skills - proven experience in working across large projects involving touch points with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Prior experience in change management activities, such as drafting communication emails, writing up user instructions, etc is preferred
Continuous improvements to activities provided, that support more efficient delivery of workplace projects
Strong problem-solving skills where multiple parties need to be bought together to reach an agreed outcome.

What you will bring

Previous experience supporting end user change programs in large enterprise environments. Proven expertise against one or more of the following criteria:

BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development, configuration and administration, including but not limited to successful deployments
Prior experience with process automation initiatives in complex environments across multiple cloud-based platforms and development of APIs
Good writing skills - experience in developing detailed documentation (knowledge base articles, process flows, technical documents in consultation with SMEs)
Transition planning and execution/delivery experience
Ability to communicate with business & technical stakeholders
Ability to manage and work with large volumes of data (excel)
Facilitating and running meetings with end users to achieve specific outcomes
Governance and reporting experience - ability to manage project level reporting and tracking of risks/issues
Process mapping and documentation.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
