Your Team:

The Digital, Operations & Technology team is responsible for the Retail bank’s technology and operations, as well as the Group’s online, tablet and mobile experiences including retail banking, business and institutional. As a Scrum Master you will be working with teams that are responsible for developing the UX and API’s for the CommBank Mobile App and Netbank.

Your Responsibilities:

The Scrum Master is a key enabler of Agile practices, ensuring these are understood and enacted through adherence to Agile theory, principles, practices and methods. The Scrum Master supports delivery teams to achieve valuable outcomes for customers.

You will be expected to perform the following tasks in a manner consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities.

  • Provide Servant Leadership & Agile coaching

  • Act as the Leader of a team

  • Help team/s deliver at a sustainable pace

  • Coach team/s in Agile ways of working

  • Assist teams in identifying risks and issues, actively escalate and help resolve them

  • Ensure Squads deliver high-value quality customer outcomes through the adoption & mastery of agile principles & practices

  • Actively participate and support the Agile Community in your portfolio

  • Influence change that increases the flow of valuable outcomes through the Squads

  • Leverage metrics and continuous improvement to increase team performance

You will be required to undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Bank policies and external regulatory requirements.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Previous Scrum Master experience in a commercial agile environment

  • Experience in successfully leading squads/team

  • Extensive experience managing dependencies across multiple streams in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment

  • Previous experience in leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams

  • Experience in agile coaching and methodologies

  • Experience managing dependencies across multiple streams in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment

  • Effective communication and problem solving skills

  • Scrum Master Certification preferred
