About the Company

About the Role
This position is responsible for working as part of a team to provide a high-quality Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management System across the business. You will be working very closely with operational teams to implement strategic plans and identify WHS priorities within the business. Supporting and mentoring state-based WHS Advisors.

Some of your duties will include:
Working with the senior leadership team to provide specialist expertise to reduce workplace incidents and build a positive, safety-first culture within the business.
  • Drive strategic and operational strategies and continual improvement across WH&S
  • Develop, implement and evaluate risk management policies and programs
  • Champion and co-ordinate national annual initiatives and project plans
  • Ensure all sites are safely maintained along with meeting legal requirements
  • Conduct inspections, audits, investigations and records are maintained
  • Develop and deliver educational programs which are relevant and highly participative for employees across the business
  • Coordinating State WHS Audit functions with an aim of achieving continuous improvement
  • Coordinating State WHS reporting in collaboration with the WHS Advisors
  • Developing and deliver positive health and wellbeing programs
To be great in this role you:
  • Strong relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders
  • A hands-on person who enjoys getting out and about sharing knowledge
  • WH&S experience in accommodation, hospitals and healthcare or similar industry
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and independently
  • Strong Knowledge of WHS legislation across multiple states
Qualifications - Education and/or professional
  • Minimum of a Graduate or Post Graduate level qualification in WHS or related field
  • Demonstrated work history managing projects across multiple states/regions
  • Ability to convert complex language and concepts into everyday language to suit varied audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning and implementation.
  • Able to achieve outcomes through others
  • Current Driver’s Licence
