The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a front end Principal/Senior Associate to join our Construction and Infrastructure team in our Brisbane office on a permanent full time basis. You will work with a growing practice.

This Principal/Senior Associate role will provide an outstanding opportunity for someone with a strong track record to lead a team and be central to the continued growth of the firm. The position may be ideal for someone who wishes to gain the opportunity to be autonomous and build the profile of their practice.

An existing client base will form the basis to grow and develop this practice area.

This role will suit those who are seeking an opportunity to further their careers in this progressive incorporated law firm which will guarantee principal assistance within a collegial atmosphere.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following:


  • At least 5 years + post admission experience in construction and infrastructure related matters;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal;
  • A team player attitude;
  • Knowledge of construction legislation and case law;
  • A commitment to drive continuous improvement for the team, including through precedent development;
  • High level problem solving skills and the ability to learn new tasks quickly; and
  • Strong time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously.
