What You Will Be Doing

This exciting full time with ADO, maternity leave role based in Frankston is open to experienced Social Workers familiar with the needs of socially complex pregnant women across Frankston-Mornington Peninsula. This role is supported by the manager and has active connections inhouse to the Aboriginal Healthy Start to Life nurse, Koori Midwifery Service, midwifery and social work staff. .Your commitment to the social model of health will inform your approach and you will contribute to an enthusiastic, committed and inclusive multidisciplinary team.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
  • Recognized Bachelor of Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Highly developed skills in psychosocial assessment of the needs of women and their families
  • Demonstrated skills in delivery case management with vulnerable clients.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work as part of multi-disciplinary, cross-agency teams.
  • Capacity for reflective practice and a willingness to participate in clinical supervision.
