What You Will Be Doing

Peninsula Health currently has an opportunity for an experienced Data and Administrative Officer to join our Emergency Department Administration team on a full time basis.

The Emergency Department Data & Administrative Officer is a key member of the administration team. The role has prime responsibility for VEMD data entry and corrections and preparation of daily departmental reports.

This role also has responsibility for roster management for ED Nursing, Medical & Clerical staff as well as Patient Flow Teams. This includes daily Roster On management of all rosters.

The role also provides administrative assistance and support to the Operations Director, Clinical Director and the Nurse Unit Managers of the Emergency Department in general.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure administrative systems exist that support the smooth operation of the Emergency Department
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations and Clinical Directors, as well as the department
  • Collate, monitor and audit data, ensuring reporting meets required deadlines
  • Responsible for generating daily performance reports for Emergency Dept
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to optimise data for submission to Dept of Health
  • Responsible for ensuring data is prepared for Dept of Health deadline submission dates
  • Assist the ED Admin Team with any Roster On creation and entering of all types of leave etc.
