Full Job Description
Our Central Intake team are looking for a new Central Intake Team Leader to ensure the best practice is delivered through a holistic approach supporting our participants to achieve their goals through supports and services provided at Gateways.

The Central Intake team is the first point of contact for our participants receiving supports and services through Gateways. We’re looking for someone with a passion for working in disability to lead the team to success ensuring a positive experience for all participants who come through our services.

You will provide active support and supervision, train and mentor as required and collect data ensuring targets are being achieved. Whilst overseeing and coordinating the administration operations of intake you will also have the opportunity to further improve and refine our intake process, referrals and waitlist management.

Prior experience managing and motivating a direct client facing team is required as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS and other funding bodies.

Employment is dependent upon evidence of your application for the NDIS Screening Check (mandatory from 1st Feb 2021).

You will be required to apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check. This check includes a national criminal records check, and will cost you $119.40. The check is valid for 5 years.

Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee, a current Level 2 first aid qualification and CPR update. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
