Full Job Description
Please note that the pay range for this position is $70,791 - $85,956, with the base offered unless your current substantive salary falls within the range.
The IED is seeking a Program Officer in a fixed-term capacity to join the International Student Admission and Agents (ISAA) unit. The role is based in our Melbourne CBD office.
Reporting to the Admission Team Leader, the Program Officer is responsible for providing enrolment and application services to international students and parents, accredited education agents and Victorian government schools. The Program Officer is responsible for processing International Student applications, liaising with schools and regions to facilitate students' placement and ensuring all International Student Admission policies and procedures are consistently applied. This also includes maintaining international student records and data on both the Department and Federal Government information systems.

Skills and Experience:
  • Strong understanding of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act (Cth) and Education Training and Reform Act (Vic)
  • Excellent relationship management and builds partnerships with people across business areas.
  • Strong in data and information management including the maintenance and data cleansing of international student records in the Department's Victorian International Students Information Tool (VISIT) database and the Commonwealth Government's PRISMS information system
  • Proven track record of using multiple CRM's and software and advanced ability with the Microsoft Office package including Excel
  • Proven ability to establish and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of compliance and risk management strategies
  • Current Working with children's check or be willing to obtain one
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)
