Full Job Description


We are seeking a mid-level Solicitor to join our premier Band 1 and award winning Corporate team to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

In this role you will work closely with multi-award winning Corporate partners and senior lawyers across the group. You will undertake a range of career enhancing work that supports national and international clients.

Your day could typically involve:

  • Being immersed in all aspects of large and complex corporate transactions including public and private M&A deals and takeovers for listed companies;
  • ensuring that key deadlines are met, including working closely with other legal teams across the firm to deliver an integrated service to our clients as well as working closely with other advisers on transactions;
  • building internal and external client relationships;
  • participation in one of our internal networks, learning and development initiatives or innovation groups.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have an unrestricted Australian practicing certificate, with 2-4 years' private practice or similar experience;
  • in-depth experience in M&A (public and/or private), corporate advisory expertise;
  • an excellent academic record, and a high level of attention to detail;
  • proven experience in successfully supervising and mentoring junior solicitors;
  • a proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of, and contributor to, our leading and supportive team;
  • an ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously;
  • a curiosity about clients, and corporate and commercial law and transactions, and the desire to continue to learn;
  • an eagerness to create an exceptional experience for our clients and value empathy, simplicity and commerciality as we do.
