Facilities Manager Required, Queenscliff Based Position, Permanent Role

Your new role
Hays are seeking a Facilities Manager for a permanent role in Queenscliff. You will be responsible for the effective day to day running of the site, the procurement and management of property and facility related contracts. You will deliver a comprehensive range of site management, property, and facilities services, responding to queries and providing support across the site. You will be responsible to manage the front of house services including front of house staff and provide a first point of contact for all tenants.

Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, apply competence to manage operational properties, including the timely identification and resolution of building maintenance and tenancy issues through performance monitoring, complaints handling, property inspections and audits for compliance with relevant building legislation, standards and codes and other requirements.
  • Coordinate the delivery of high quality and compliant scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services, to facilities and physical assets.
  • Support the delivery of a range of capital and minor works of facilities and physical assets
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, being the first point of contact for all staff and tenants on-site.
  • Manage the staff and provision of corporate services functions to the site.
  • Exercise professional judgement in providing services and assisting in the general operation of the site/s including records management, procurement, assets management, security arrangements and maintenance.
  • Oversee the ongoing implementation of processes and systems to ensure service levels, operational and compliance standards, safety and financial objectives are met.
  • Coordinate the procurement and on-going contract management of property and facilities service providers on behalf of the corporate operations team.
  • Complete end to end procurement activities, then subsequent on-going management of contracts ensuring performance and scheduling measures are met.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Use negotiation and influencing skills in working with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilities supervision and management.
  • Ability to manage staff and the provision of corporate service functions.
  • Ability to manage end to end procurement activities.
  • Exercise independent judgement to effectively plan, organise and prioritise workload to achieve agreed outcomes and expected timeframes.
  • Have well-developed conceptual and problem-solving skills, combined with an attention to detail and the ability to generate a range of creative solutions to address issues.
  • Hold a Current Drivers licence
  • May Involve evening or weekend work including occasional overnight travel
  • You may be required to undertake a medical and other safety compliance requirement
