We are seeking enthusiastic Law Interpretation Officers to join various teams within the Australian Taxation Office.

In our Law Design and Practice (LDP) business area, you’ll provide technical advice and contribute to technical excellence by supporting and guiding various stakeholders. You will interpret and analyse complex information, facts, evidence and apply relevant legislation when providing professional advice. You will consult and take an active role in identifying, gathering, recording and sharing information relevant to law interpretation activities and strategies.

You’ll work closely with your team and a range of Commonwealth, tax, legal and community stakeholders to resolve and prevent disputes for individuals, small businesses, private groups and high wealth individuals.

In our Client Engagement Group (CEG), you will use your knowledge of relevant tax laws and policies to research, analyse and help formulate advice to a range of stakeholders.

This role may involve working on a range of issues across different market segments including Public Groups and International, Private groups, Superannuation, Small business or individuals.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill, Brisbane, Chermside, Dandenong, Geelong, Gosford, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Perth, Sydney CBD, Townsville or Upper Mount Gravatt.
