About the roleThis position is responsible for the management of the Broome Aquaculture Centre facilities, live works programs, resources, and technical staff, with robust alignment to the BAC vision and the NRT strategic plan. The position requires strong understanding, skills and experience of tropical aquaculture with a focus on hatchery management and production of finfish species such as Barramundi and other species including crustaceans and molluscs. The position works closely with industry, government and community and provides crucial support for lecturing programs associated with Aquaculture, Fisheries and Maritime industries.

To be successful, you will have the following...

  • Tertiary qualification in Aquaculture or a related field
  • Significant industry experience in managing a hatchery
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to provide strong responsive and innovative leadership
