An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated and innovative individual to join our leadership team as Head of Department - Information Technologies. In this role you will lead the Information Technologies and Design Technologies curriculum and the manage the operation of the school’s Information Technology Services and Resource Centre. You will lead a high performing team of teachers who are committed to student performance within the Technology Faculty. The faculty works to support students to be successful in both practical and academic elements of curriculum. This leadership and management role encompasses the responsibility to implement the school vision and whole school explicit improvement agenda with a keen focus on relationships with students, staff, community and partners.

  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
  • Be futures oriented and strategic.
  • Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
A Mandatory Requirement Of This Role Is
  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. For more information please CLICK HERE .
