We currently have an opportunity for a skilled and safety focused DC Manager to join a great team orientated, national retail company at their Perth Airport purpose-built facility.

About Our Client
Home to a wide range of trusted domestic products our client is a national brand with distribution centres throughout Australia. You will work with a team who are as passionate about their brand and the constant supply of your states own retail stores.

About the role: The successful candidate will lead the Inventory management for the site, working across the DC with all Team Leadership members to execute change and build a plan for improvements. You will ensure that both individual and team requirements are achieved in a safe manner, within process standards and to expected performance levels.

The DC Manager: will be accountable for all management across the DC. You will create the product flow through demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to the business requirements. You will work with the DC Operations Team to ensure systems and inventory processes are optimised. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Leadership of a team who will manage inventory accuracy, auditing and root cause analysis
  • Communicating to the Operations teams any findings and created solutions
  • Education of operational team members of enhanced inventory controls or procedures
  • Maintain open, effective communication channels with team members and stakeholders both within and external to the Distribution Centre
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Ensuring that our team members are always safe

About You: You will have operational leadership experience ideally within supply chain from either warehousing, logistics or a Distribution Centre background. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge across the above-mentioned operational areas combined with a safety and people focussed mindset. You can demonstrate experience, skill and understanding across the following:

  • Inventory Management
  • Communication skills, both internal and external interactions
  • Performance management
  • Conflict management and resolution
  • Continuous Improvement mindset and delivery experience
