About the role

Pathology Collectors are the face of the Pathology Service. In this role, you will be the primary contact for our patients, so you will need to have excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. This role is varied as you will utilise your excellent phlebotomy abilities and also perform tasks requiring that you use your computer skills and laboratory knowledge.

We are looking for

Enrolled Nurse Qualifications or equivalent (Pathology Collector Classification), or Certificate IV in Pathology Specimen Collection. Holders of Certificate III in Pathology Collections with minimum 2 years’ experience may be considered (Laboratory Assistant Classification)
Demonstrated high degree of knowledge, skills and attention to detail in all pathology collections
Excellent data entry skills with great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
