About us

Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringements system in Victoria and includes the Director, Fines Victoria, the Sheriff's Office Victoria, the Asset Confiscation Office and the operation of road safety cameras.

The Contract Compliance team has overall responsibility for monitoring contractors' compliance with the Traffic Camera Services (TCS) and Business Services contracts on behalf of the State. Responsibilities of this work area include performance management, reporting, issue and risk management, change management, contingency planning, budgeting and contract administration.

The Contract Compliance team is also responsible for the delivery of two key projects that aim to replace the technology used by the State to deliver mobile speed enforcement and significantly expand the State's capacity for mobile speed enforcement.

About the role

As the Site Assessor (Spatial Data Officer/Analyst), you will be responsible for:

  • supporting the delivery of the Mobile Road Safety Camera program
  • providing advice and recommendations to operational teams involved with the delivery of the program
  • assessing the suitability of sites against agreed parameters and business rules across Victoria. 

This role is also responsible for interpreting data and imagery to assist in the development of potential enforcement activity and assessing the suitability of sites across Victoria for potential enforcement activity.

About you

As our successful candidate, you will possess:

  • demonstrated ability to understand and use Geographic Information Systems Software
  • demonstrated technical aptitude for navigating and assessing maps or aerial imagery
  • any surveying expertise or mapping skills (highly desirable)
  • expertise in SQL, Python, QGIS, spatial analysis and database management (highly desirable)
  • relevant qualifications (desirable)
  • a valid driver's licence (desirable).
