About us

Technology Solutions (TS) provides a range of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) services for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). The business unit sets the strategic direction of ICT in alignment with the business direction. TS is responsible for ICT strategies, initiatives, architectures, policies, projects, applications, and infrastructure services in a multi-sourced environment.

About the role

As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • providing project management services and professional technical support in video conferencing (UC),
  • supporting the Telecommunications video conferencing services administrator and a team of technical specialists responsible for the management and operation of the department's voice and video platforms,
  • prepare and present specifications, technical briefs, help desk support, develop and maintain technical documentation and maintain accurate service and equipment inventories,
  • assist with bill auditing and processing, preparing cost allocate statements and validating carrier billing data.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • technical experience in supporting Cisco video conferencing environment, including configuration, implementation, and ongoing support
  • Cisco networking qualification or experience (highly desirable)
  • demonstrated knowledge and experience with server management including VMWARE and Microsoft Server.
  • proven experience managing and configuring Cisco infrastructure including switches and firewalls.
  • Knowledge in Audio Visual technologies and MS teams video systems.
