About The Role

Role Location- Melbourne

Role Type- 12 month fixed term contract

The role supports Wholesale Commercial Credit Risk by providing oversight and managing the review of regulatory returns-
  • Documenting requirements for the new ARS 220 regulatory returns, including identifying data sources, data definition and ensuring alignment of interpretation of data.
  • Analysis, management and resolution of defects, ensuring appropriate controls and processes are adhered to across the enterprise, presentation to the Delegate including explaining key movements, issues and obtaining sign-off and managing responses for APRA queries.
  • Defining and documenting procedures/controls for regulatory return review and approval,
  • Champion data quality management for Australia Division Wholesale Risk
  • The role also support activities related to portfolio management priorities and additional strategic initiatives as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following-
  • Quantitative Degree in statistics, actuarial, econometrics, mathematics, Business Management / Finance or related field.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and interrogation tools (i.e. SAS, SQL, Qlik) with analytical outputs/ad hoc analysis undertaken quickly and effectively, and of high quality
  • Understanding of Wholesale Credit Risk lifecycle, risk related metrics and calculations
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in communicating with senior executives.
  • Experience in process/control documentation, data quality assessments and an understanding of enterprise data
  • Knowledge of APRA Prudential and Reporting Standards is desirable
