About The Role

With over 2500 retail locations around the country, our Property team looks after one of the most dynamic portfolios in Australia. Working with teams across the business, we provide a range of services from site acquisition, leasing and renewals, through to development, construction and asset management. We’re growing too, so it’s a great time to jump on board and build your career.

We’re looking for an exceptional Retail Leasing Manager to join our Macquarie Park team.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work with senior management, as well as the wider state-based teams, with the delivery of all property objectives. You’ll drive growth as part of the Coles Local Team in the delivery of new stores, acquisitions, store extensions, lease renewals and management of the property portfolio.

Other ways you can make an impact include

  • new space budgeting and portfolio/corporate planning
  • financial feasibility analysis and negotiation of leases for new stores
  • modelling freehold and leasehold acquisitions and opportunities
  • assisting in developing and evolving property strategy for the existing network and entering new markets
  • acting as a point of contact for specific property matters for the Coles Local brand

Good things you’ll need
  • significant experience in retail leasing; managing the process from negotiation to execution either on the landlord or retail side
  • proven commercial property experience with in-depth knowledge of the retail property market
  • sound financial knowledge of deal structures with the ability to negotiate and interpret complex contracts and agreements
  • strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • the ability to work autonomously, being accountable for your activity, reporting and targets
