Professional Administration Officer to join NSW State Government in Griffith to support the high volume processing of licences

  • $30 per hour + Super | 35 hours per week

  • ASAP Start | Estimated 3-month temp assignment, potential to extend

Our large NSW State Government client protects and conserves NSW’s environment and heritage. They are currently seeking an experienced Administration Officer in Griffith. This is an estimated 3-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

Reporting to the Manager, you will be required to deliver a wide range of administrative support services to assist the team in achieving organisational goals

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties –
  • Act as first point of contact, providing professional customer service
  • Receive and respond to a high number of public recreational enquiries including camping
  • Answer enquiries, providing timely and accurate responses
  • Refer complex enquiries to senior team members
  • Review and issue firewood licences within short deadlines
  • Support the administration of Area based information
  • Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Provide a wide range of administrative support to the team
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following –
  • Demonstrated Administration experience
  • Previous experience working within a high volume processing environment
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Solid conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
