About The Role

To ensure all Woolworths retail businesses and vendors are being paid correctly. This role will investigate and help resolve all claims and discrepancies arising from a supplier providing products to DC’s and/or stores.

Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Timely investigation of supplier claims, with recommendations supported by documented evidence.
  • Provide reporting on claims to the Claims Manager
  • Provide master data and promotional support and coaching to the business units and/or commercial teams to prevent future claims and discrepancies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on merchandise systems and process to the Buying Team
  • Understand how merchandise systems interact with other systems (e.g. Logistics, stores)
  • Represent Woolworths on appropriate cross-functional teams such as Ebiz (EDI interface), and Accounts payable to ensure current and future processes are fit for purpose.
  • Understand the end to end process for ordering and payments
  • Be able to extract and interpret raw data from corporate systems for interrogation and investigation
  • Provide guidance to suppliers having issues invoicing

About You
  • Must have FMCG commercial experience with a thorough understanding of invoicing and rebates
  • Must be highly experienced with data queries and analysis in a commercial context
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable but not a pre-requisite
  • Masterdata knowledge is highly desirable
  • Experience with FMCG promotions management will be beneficial
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Biased toward factual analysis to support decision making and recommendations
  • Be able to escalate in a non emotional but factual manner
