What We Are Looking For

A unique opportunity has become available in our National Payroll Department, located at our Head Office in Minchinbury Western Sydney. Reporting to the Director of Payroll, this role will be the central liaison for all payroll process and system enhancements, configurations and maintenance in addition to the timely communication of relevant updates and information to internal stakeholders.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Coordinating and performing testing, deployment and support for all payroll related programs nationally
  • Stay abreast of all payroll related legislation and best practice updates and identify required changes in the payroll systems or processes
  • Month End responsibilities including payroll tax, PAYG, leave provisions, superannuation, account reconciliation and reporting
  • Accurate calculation of superannuation contributions, PAYG and other deductions via the payroll system
  • Ensuring remittance of all monthly statutory payroll obligations
  • Maintaining compliance of payroll processes maps and standard operating procedures
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement or efficiency in the existing system configuration and setup through root cause analysis
  • Working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify appropriate opportunities for continuous improvement of payroll services, processes and procedures (including automation)
  • Ensuring appropriate systems are in place to maintain data integrity and security
Selection Criteria
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Chris21 experience desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll systems testing, validation and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting analysis to determine system issues and resolutions
  • Aptitude to investigate issues or improvements without prompting
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate-advance Microsoft Office skills
  • Includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on experience.
