Your new role:

The core focus of the role of Safety Advisor – Passenger Experience is to develop and deliver dedicated safety program activities in Passenger Experience in Metro Trains Melbourne and to ensure application of the Safety Management System.

This position will be PART-TIME, up to 3 days per week.

This role is varied and diverse but day to day you can expect:

• Monitor safety input and outputs from Passenger Experience,
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance of legal obligations; OHS, rail, and energy, satisfy safety requirements,
• Manage the coaching and development of managers in Passenger Experience in regards to safety,
• Attend significant Metro Trains Melbourne Incidents as the on-call Investigator to commence incident investigation on behalf of the business,
• Lead risk assessment activities

You come to us with:

• Diploma level or above qualifications in a Health, Safety or Environment related discipline and proven experience in these areas
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits and task observations
• Extensive experience in managing and leading safety investigations
• Proven ability to manage many competing priorities

You describe yourself as a self-driven, responsible individual who commits to continuous improvement in your work and quality outcomes. You are a strong communicator and utilise your engagement abilities to develop trust and strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
