The primary objective of the DevOp s p latform Architect is to lead the technical design and evolution of common DevOps platform . This includes analysis, implementation, and operationaliz ation of tooling, process, and automation required to enable product development teams to rapidly transition to a cloud-based deployment model. In addition, the DevOps Platform Architect will be considered an expert technical design and A gile /DevOps workflow consulta nt for product development teams on the DevOps platform. An ideal candidate for this role will have a deep talent stack that includes several years of Agile software development and / or architectural design , a n extensive understanding of Microsoft Azure technology , and a strong underst anding of application security and DevOps principle s .


  • Technical lead for a team of software developers and systems engineers to deliver Microsoft Azure solutions exhibiting high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability
  • Work directly with stakeholders on technical/process problems and identify, analyze and recommend solution s
  • Responsible for collecting and defining technical requirements to enable business processes
  • Responsible for writing and reviewing Platform Operation s code and contributing to all technical discussions and architecture planning
  • Be an evangelist for Azure/Cloud-based deployment automation and adoption of a DevOps culture
  • Own and m aintain clear documentation of the DevOps platform architecture and operational standards
  • Stay up-to-date on Azure technology and other emerging technology trends and promote an environment of learning
  • Responsible for monitoring the production infrastructure and evolve monitoring s olutions
  • Sustain performance and availability of production infrastructure to achieve optimal uptime
  • Advanced knowledge and t echnical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management
  • Experience with and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud)
  • Deep domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions ( i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Management, Storage, Networking , OSS, containers and Infra as a code technologies)
  • Deep domain expertise i n:
  • C loud application development solutions ( e.g. PaaS, Serverless, API Management );
  • C ontainer orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry );
  • C ontinuous integration technologies ( e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible,Chef, Puppet );
  • W eb application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices; (design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM)
  • Advanced knowledge of several programming languages: C++, C#, Java, Node. js , JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, SQL including OSS ( postgre , MySQL etc ), Azure SQL NoSQL Databases including OSS (Maria, Mongo etc ), Cosmos DB, etc
  • Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI and Grafana
  • Experience with Azure Security Center and Azure PaaS network solutions like Front Door, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, etc
  • Experience using integrated development environments ( e.g. Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, XCode, WebSphere) targeting Linux, Windows, public clouds ( i.e. Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration ( e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry etc.), API management, microservice frameworks etc.
