About Sub Acute Rehabilitation, North West 1 at Monash Health

Monash Health is Victoria’s leading integrated health provider serving the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. North West 1 (NW1) is a 32 bed Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Ward, offering excellent patient care for Geriatric evaluation and patient management of Movement Disorders with a dedicated speciality unit for Parkinson’s disease.

About the Role

NW1 operate on a combination of clinical care with close collaboration of a multidisciplinary team for older and younger patients. With an approach that is goal orientated and individualised for every patient you will provide support and education to achieve the maximum potential in function and independence.

We are dedicated to delivering patient care in line with our organisational iCare values, ensuring that all patients are treated with dignity and respect that provides our patients with a new quality of life.

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to step up into the role of Associate Nurse Manager on a Fixed Term Part Time basis (64 hrs per fortnight - Maternity Leave replacement until January 2022). We work on a 24/7 rotating roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

About You

As an experienced Nurse ready to embark in a Leadership position, or perhaps an experienced Leader you bring passion and understanding to deliver holistic patient centred care to our diverse rehabilitation patients. Joining our clinical Leadership Group we look for experience within a similar clinical setting promoting critical thinking and the ability to work cohesively whilst guiding and mentoring your team. We will be looking for you to hold;

  • Demonstrated clinical experience from an Acute or Sub-Acute environment

  • Post Graduate studies in a relatable field, highly desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of Movement Disorders/Parkinson's Disease

  • Current AHPRA Registration

  • Current Employee Working with Children Check

  • Full working rights within Australia
