 We are currently seeking a full time -Teacher for a Middle Primary Class to commence in Term 3 2021.

 Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.

 This school community is committed to the safety, well-being and protection of all children in our care.

 Duties Required:

  • Exercising due care of children whilst in your care
  • Being present and actively involved at whole staff and grade level planning meetings and relevant committees
  • Working with Co-ordinators / Learning Leaders that have authority and responsibility to ensure policies are being followed.
  • Ongoing assessment and evaluation & record keeping
  • Commitment to parent, school partnership and supporting out-of-school activities that help build this partnership, especially Family Conferences and formal and informal on-going communication.
  • Contributing to the parish community especially supporting the Parish Sacramental program.
  • Taking care of school property that has been entrusted to your use through proper storage, borrowing and maintenance and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Presenting a professional image in all aspects of school life
  • Attending to tasks as required by the principal.

 Candidates are asked to demonstrate:

  • A good knowledge of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies to ensure student engagement
  • A positive approach to building relationships with children, parents and staff and a willingness to contribute to an environment that supports families to feel welcome and safe.
  • The ability to plan and assess effective curriculum that addresses the diverse needs of students.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and personal improvement including a willingness to give and receive feedback that promotes learning
  • A willingness to be an active, positive and supportive member of our staff and be committed to the vision and ethos of our school.
  • A passion for education and providing engaging learning experiences that challenge children to think, own their learning and achieve their personal best.
  • An interest in working as a team with staff and in partnership with parents to foster excellence in learning.
  • The ability to be organised and well planned
  • A willingness and interest in being a part of the life of the school including out of hours and extra curricula activities.
  • Special Requirements: 
    • Holy Spirit promotes the safety, well-being and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children;
    • The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration;
    • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred;
