About the role

Domestic Services Assistant will be required to:

  • To maintain the hospital cleanliness to a high standard and provide a safe environment for all customers
  • Cleaning of Operating Theatres, Patients rooms and Public areas
  • Flexible to work Afternoons and Evenings

What you bring

  • Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety issues
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised
  • Commitment to providing and maintaining excellent customer service
  • Use of Commercial cleaning equipment
  • Flexible to work in the Morning, afternoon, evening and weekends
  • Commitment to ethical practices
  • Ability to interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), labels and safe work practices
  • Have, or be willing to obtain, Certificate II / III in Health Support Service


  • Previous experience in a similar role in a Private Hospital or aged Care setting
  • Working Knowledge of Infection Contrrol in a hospital setting
  • Understanding of COVID cleaning and processes
