Due to our expanding number of clinics, Artisan Aesthetic Clinics has created a new role to assist in our clinical education & training requirements. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide clinical leadership and subject matter expertise to all Artisan Cosmetic Nurses and Dermal Therapists via a team of Clinical Educators.

The role of Clinical Nurse Specialist is critical in delivering consistently high standards of aesthetic expertise ensuring our clients achieve the best possible results in an environment that meets the highest levels of safety and care.


About You

You will need to be a passionate professional, who is highly skilled in clinical education and training, who strives to have a genuine impact on others by supporting their professional development goals

You have an eye for detail and a keen interest in risk management in the area of safe clinical practices

You must be a qualified Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner would be an advantage) and hold a current AHPRA Registration

You yourself are a highly skilled clinician who has a good aesthetic eye and can expertly deliver safe cosmetic injecting treatments

You will need to be a highly developed people leader who enjoys working in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment

The Role

As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, the key areas of focus are:

  • Developing and delivering clinical education and training content through detailed expertise of the skin-health and wellness sector
  • Effectively leading a team of Clinical Educators to ensure education is delivered in accordance with Artisan Standard Operating Procedures and our ways of working
  • Responding flexibly to ongoing changes within the industry by providing input and expertise to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
  • Mitigating risk across Artisan through an effective adverse event management program
  • The Clinical Nurse Specialist will also perform client treatments within our clinics, so a passion for delivering personalised experience for clients is a must!

It’s important to us that you align with our values, including a desire to provide the best possible results. To achieve this in the Clinical Nurse Specialist role, you will:

  • Develop clinical education and training content; and oversee the delivery of training through a team of Clinical Educators
  • Provide oversight, advice and direction to Cosmetic Nurses and Dermal Therapists through clinical leadership and subject matter expertise
  • Oversee the assessment of clinical skills, working with the clinic team to ensure the appropriate skills are in place across Artisan
  • Establish and deliver assessment tools and individual development plans for Artisan clinicians in line with core treatments, ensuring delivery of clinic goals
  • Create and update Clinical Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Manage the adverse events process and ensure adequate resourcing is available to effectively respond to adverse events, and recommendations are provided to reduce risk
  • Provide input and develop clinical content for use by the marketing team
  • Have superior client consulting techniques, understanding their goals and creating tailored, long-term treatment plans to retain satisfied clients
  • Possess of a full laser licence, and have demonstrated laser competency (desirable but not essential)
