The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform.

The Opportunity

The Central Reivew Team, Specialist Child Protection Unit is responsible for responding to oversight agencies who are legislated to review the Department's administration of the Children and Community Services Act 2004. This includes preparing the Department for Coronial Inquests following the death of a child in the CEO's care and can include Inquests held at the discretion of the Coroner where the Deparmtent has been involved with the family. The Central Review Team receives and responds to Corinal Child Death notifications and works with the Ombudsman in undertaking reviews of investigable child deaths and family and domestic violence fatalities.

As a Corporate Support Officer you will contribute to the effective administration management of the Central Review Team which includes:

  • Assistance and support of corporate business administration needs in relation to financial, physical and human resources requirements.
  • Providing a high-quality service to internal and external clients that is proactive and solution focussed and responsive to customer needs.
